Q. Is this a tent?

A. Fabristructure engineered fabric buildings are not traditional tents. They are specially designed to withstand the high winds that traditional tents cannot and to shed snow. Custom fabric buildings are reliable, durable and versatile.

Q. How long will a fabric structure last?

A. The duration of Fabristructure buildings varies with use. Fabristructure’s standard warranty is 10 years for the frame and 15 years for the fabric (prorated). You can expect the architectural membrane cladding to last 15-20 years or longer.

Q. What are the standard sizes of Fabristructure structures?

A. It varies depending on the structure style you choose. Generally, fabric structures can be anywhere between 40 and 195 feet wide. A custom design is possible that is over 200 feet wide. Most structures have an unlimited length.

Q. What if I need something custom made?

A. Fabristructure engineers can custom design a building to your specifications using AutoCAD systems. Custom buildings are designed with your budgetary needs in mind.

Q. What is the lead-time required from order to site?

A. Fabristructure keeps a large inventory in Europe and the United States that can be delivered to you within days. If what you need is not currently in stock, it will take approximately 6 weeks for a standard structure and 12 weeks for a custom designed structure. If your order requires faster delivery, let use know and we will try to accommodate you.

Q. How are the structures shipped?

A. Fabristructure ships on flatbed trailers or 40 foot ocean liner containers depending on where the order is going.

Q. How long will it take to install my structure?

A. Typically, you can install up to 5,000 square feet per day for our standard steel fabric structures and 10,000 square feet per day for our standard aluminum structures. Actual installation rates depend on weather conditions and ground conditions. Our team can provide expertise to have your fabric building installed as quickly as possible.

Q. Do multiple panels make up the single piece of fabric covering the structure?

A. It depends on your needs. We have both one piece designs and modular designs available.

Q. Are building permits required?

A. Usually, building permits are required. It depends on local laws.

Q. Will I be able to relocate my fabric structure in the future?

A. Dismantling and relocating a Fabristructure building is part of the original design and one of its biggest benefits. You can normally relocate 99% of your structure.

Q. Do I need any footings or foundation?

A. It depends on soil conditions and structure type. Our engineers can assist you in determining whether you need footers or foundation.

Q. What accessories, doors or ventilation systems are available?

A. Like traditional buildings, almost any accessory can be used. You can use standard doors, lights, insulation and HVAC systems.

Q. Can the structures be insulated to control temperature?

A. Yes. Fabristructure offers a range of insulation including R-11 reflective insulation and R-30 fiberglass batt insulation.

Q. Will a fabric structure meet wind and snow load requirements for my area?

A. We can make any adjustments for your local conditions and requirements. With fabric structures all over the world in some of the harshest climates, we have the expertise to ensure that your structure meets wind and snow load requirements in your location.

Q. How do I repair damage to the steel/aluminum framework?

A. Welding or reinforcement will repair most framework damage without the need for any extensive repairs. However, repair should not be necessary. Fabristructure buildings are durable and built to last.

Q. Do the structures leak?

A. If installed properly, no.

Q. Will condensation form inside the structure?

A. If you do not control the air temperature inside the building some condensation is possible. Interior lining is available to help with air control costs.
